Carl Rakosi was a German poet and member of the Objectivist movement. He published many works, including the book Amulet (New Directions, 1967). In 1996 he won a PEN award for his book, Poems 1923-1941 (Sun and Moon Press, 1995).

August Kleinzahler is an American poet. His many poetry collections include The Hotel Oneira (Faber and Faber UK); Sleeping It Off in Rapid City, which was awarded the National Book Critics Circle Award; and The Strange Hours Travelers Keep (both Farrar, Straus and Giroux), which won the Griffin Poetry Prize.
